Not just economic actors, but holders of real and pervasive power, capable of influencing markets, opinions and governments. These are the large technology platforms controlled by (a few) digital giants, at the centre of the panel "Big tech after the rise of Musk", hosted today in the Sala Filarmonica as part of the 20th Trento Festival of Economics. Under the lens, the new global balance between technology, democracy, education and data sovereignty. The meeting was opened by Gian Maria Gros-Pietro, chairman of Intesa Sanpaolo, in dialogue with Il Sole 24 Ore journalist Luca De Biase. This was followed by a round table discussion featuring Paolo Boccardelli, Rector of Luiss Guido Carli University, Michele Boldrin, economist at Washington University in Saint Louis, and Alberto Sangiovanni Vincentelli, Professor Emeritus of UC Berkeley.
