'The 2026 Winter Games represent a historic opportunity for Trentino. Not only for sport, but for the growth of our territorial system, infrastructure and tourism promotion. A challenge that we intend to live with pride and responsibility'. These were the words of the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Maurizio Fugatti, speaking today at the Rimini Meeting, as part of the round table dedicated to the theme of infrastructures as a lever for integrated and sustainable development in view of the Milan-Cortina Olympics, hosted in the Ministry of Transport's "Cantiere Futuro" space. Alongside him were the president of the Lombardy Region, Attilio Fontana, and the president of Anef (National Association of Cableway Operators) Valeria Ghezzi. The latter spoke about the importance of basic infrastructures to reach the mountains and gave an excursus on the value of research and development, but also of renewable energy sources such as hydroelectric power, to further increase the sustainability of mountain tourism.
