Last night, a dead wolf was found in the area of Mori, precisely on the side of State Road No. 240, which connects Rovereto to Riva del Garda (at km 7.400). The carcass - a young male weighing 29.5 kg - was recovered by Trentino Forestry Corps personnel and handed over to the veterinary surgeon, who found numerous traumas that caused its death, in all probability therefore due to being hit by a vehicle.
The proximity, even in time, with the spot where the she-wolf was run over a few hours earlier suggests that the two young animals belonged to the same family group. Genetic analyses may possibly confirm this hypothesis.
