Line A of the PNRR's specific measure on the redevelopment of historic Italian villages is dedicated to pilot projects for the cultural, social and economic regeneration of villages at risk of abandonment and neglect, with a budget of 420 million euro at national level to be divided among the Regions and Autonomous Provinces. For Trentino, therefore, a project with a financial availability of 20 million euro is envisaged. Each intervention - amounting to 20 million euro - will be aimed at the economic and social revitalisation of an uninhabited village or one characterised by an advanced process of decline and abandonment. The project will have to envisage the establishment of new functions, infrastructures and services in the field of culture, tourism, social or research, such as schools or academies of arts and cultural professions, albergo diffuso, artist residences, research centres and university campuses, assisted medical care residences (RSAs) where cultural-oriented programmes can also be developed, residences for families with smart working and digital nomads.
