Twelve million 459 thousand euro have been allocated by the Provincial Council to municipalities and communities to guarantee early childhood social and educational services in the territory. "This is a support that we consider fundamental to guarantee the presence of crèches and tagesmutters even in the realities that are furthest from the most populated centres. The aim is to enable parents who cannot count on external support to reconcile family and work, as well as to encourage socialising among the youngest children,' explains the provincial councillor for local authorities, Mattia Gottardi, who proposed the funding with an initial advance payment to the managing bodies for 2022. The amount allocated is equal to half of the contribution paid in 2021 through the application of well-defined criteria. Since the day-care centre service shows considerable differences in the number of hours incurred from one year to the next, and since the share referring to the day-care centre service represents about 95 per cent of the total transfer, the provincial advance payment was limited to the day-care centre service only.
