In recent years, European banks have made enormous progress and the most important test was the pandemic, proving to be an active part of the solution to the problem. Today, much remains to be done: there are old and new challenges to face, such as the war in Ukraine, as well as digitisation and climate change. With this ongoing war, Europe has been placed at the centre of the world. But just as for the pandemic we have witnessed a more united health, so too for defence the path is set. Will European banks also be able to seize these challenges to unite and consolidate?
