New objectives and new measures for greater efficiency in combating the presence and settlement of wild boar: these are the subject of a resolution adopted today by the provincial council at the proposal of the agriculture councillor. As a new tool, on an experimental basis, provision has been made to extend the hours, until midnight, of control activities, to enable controllers to act promptly, taking advantage of the crepuscular habits of the species. Another substantial change concerns state-owned forests, where, subject to agreement between the parties, authorised controllers will be able to intervene in areas falling within Area A, and gamekeepers in areas falling within Area B, always in support of and not in substitution of Trentino Forestry Corps personnel.
