Promoting the sustainability of the vine-growing and wine-producing chain is a common objective that the Province, through the Department of Agriculture, Forestry, Hunting and Fisheries, is pursuing with various parties and the scientific support of the Edmund Mach Foundation. Various actions have been put in place, ranging from the study of vine adaptation to climate change to the rational use of natural resources, and water in particular, from the monitoring of the main phytopathologies to the study of the chemical and sensory determinants that contribute to making a wine unique and of quality. In this sense, many tools have been put in place by the Department of Agriculture to support the supply chain, both in the area of careful and efficient use of water, in the area of financial support for wine-growing enterprises, and in the area of risk management to combat climate change.
