At the foot of the climbing walls set up in Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, immediately taken by storm by young and very young, the programme dedicated to the sport of climbing made its debut this afternoon. The protagonist was Wafaa Amer, a climber of Egyptian origin, but who has lived in Italy for many years and where, at a very young age, she discovered this discipline that immediately won her over. She told the audience of the Sports Festival about her sporting and human journey in which she had to overcome first of all prejudices and prohibitions within her family, but which allowed her to achieve greater self-awareness.
