   Wolf carcass found in Val di Fassa

   The carcass of a wolf was found today in Val di Fassa. Recovered by agents of the Trentino Forestry Corps, it was examined by a veterinarian who ascertained that it was a female of about one year old weighing 24 kilograms. She presented a severe contusion on her neck and a wound on her lungs, which she probably procured during a hunting action, supposedly against a deer. However, further investigations, which will be carried out next week, will confirm this hypothesis.

   Plane on the Lagorai, recovery operations completed

   At 11.40 a.m., the operation to recover the aircraft at the foot of Cima Cece, on the Lagorai ended. The Belluno Aeroclub aircraft had been at an altitude of 2,100 metres since 28 December last following an accident. The aircraft was harnessed and transported to a timber storage area in Predazzo by the Trento Fire Brigade Helicopter Unit. The operations were the result of a joint effort that also involved the Saf Nucleus of the Trento Permanent Fire Brigade and the Mountain Rescue Service of the Guardia di Finanza, as well as the Predazzo Volunteer Fire Brigade, who secured the landing perimeter. The technical investigator of the National Agency for Flight Safety was also on site to gather the necessary elements to establish the causes of the accident.

    Malga Perobia di Ala, female wolf found dead

    The discovery of the carcass of a female wolf at malga Perobia, in the municipality of Ala, was reported to the Trentino Forestry Corps by two hikers. The adult specimen most probably died of mange. The parasitic disease would in fact have affected some of the specimens belonging to the herd that settled on the Zugna-Carega group and in the adjacent valleys. The veterinary surgeon, to whom the carcass has already been handed over, will eventually be able to confirm the cause of death.

    Contract for ATA staff and teachers in pre-school and vocational training schools, agreement signed

    The Province's commitment for school personnel continues: this is confirmed by councillor Mirko Bisesti, who informs on the status of the preliminary agreement referring to Ata personnel, teaching assistants, teaching staff and pedagogical coordinators of pre-schools, and teaching staff of professional training.
