Innovation Days, the Sole 24 Ore and Confindustria roadshow that puts the main Italian regional economic realities under the magnifying glass, is back. The second appointment of this new cycle, realised with the support of 4Manager, Elis Innovation Hub and Partner 24 ORE and organised in collaboration with Sistemi Formativi Confindustria and Confindustria Trento was held on Friday 26 May. The appointment, dedicated to Trentino Alto-Adige, was part of the Trento Festival of Economics and took place at the ITAS Forum in Trento (Via Adalberto Libera, 13). Among the topics discussed: technology and its applications in industrial case histories and innovative solutions proposed by partners and a panel on Private Capital as a resource for innovation, followed by an afternoon dedicated to Networking with the Agora. The event opened with speeches by Fabio Tamburini, Editor-in-Chief of Il Sole 24 Ore, and Alfredo Maglione, Member of the Executive Board with responsibility for Digital Transition and Technological Innovation, Confindustria Trento, who emphasised: "Understanding where we are going in order to better plan our future is a fundamental aspect, also for companies, entrepreneurs and the managers who lead them. In a highly complex scenario, we are called upon to interpret change and the importance of innovating by responsibly adopting new and powerful methods and tools: I am thinking, for example, of new paradigms and technological developments in research and industries in the most advanced sectors. It is also thanks to these tools that we can imagine and design the paths of innovation, progress and a growth strategy that we want to be inclusive and sustainable, in economic, environmental and social terms'. Following this, Andrea Berna, Head of Commercial Banking Banca Ifis, offered an overview of the importance of working as a system in order to look to the future: "Trentino is a region with a high capacity for productive diversification and in which SMEs are able to grow and establish themselves at levels of excellence at national and international level. Precisely for this reason, the sentiment of Trentino entrepreneurs remains positive despite the macroeconomic context characterised by strong geopolitical uncertainties, high inflation and greater difficulties in accessing credit. The strong ability to work as a team is in fact a positive factor that drives the development of companies in the area, which know how to impose themselves even beyond national averages in terms of innovation and attention to sustainability: two areas in which Banca Ifis, which has been at the side of SMEs for over 40 years, has always been a privileged interlocutor for companies'.
