He led the Trentino health service during one of the most complex periods of the Covid emergency. Dr Pier Paolo Benetollo, who has now retired, is now thanked by the provincial health councillor Stefania Segnana, also on behalf of the president Maurizio Fugatti and the entire Council: 'He put his skills and organisational capacities at the service of the Trentino community at a time of great uncertainty, when the pandemic broke out, which also affected our territory. At such a difficult time, he demonstrated great managerial skills, as well as uncommon sensitivity and humanity. These are characteristics that Benetollo, until yesterday director of the provincial hospital service, was also able to put to good use in the reorganisation of the Trentino health service, which has relied on the complementarity of the various structures, enhancing the value of the different health professions that make up the hospital service'.
