Aimed at increasing the number of accredited private psychological facilities is the update of the guidelines for institutional accreditation and the stipulation of contractual agreements to provide psychological assistance and counselling services in agreement with the health authority, approved by the executive.
The new criteria, which are also provided for in the 2023 provincial budget manoeuvre, follow a trial period, which began in 2019 and resulted in nine facilities becoming accredited. Among the novelties, the criteria aim at responding to new needs, also in the field of disability; the accreditation restriction has also been removed exclusively for private social realities, formally constituted professional aggregations and associated psychology and psychotherapy practices.
