He told his story, retracing the many teams in which he has played and letting himself go - respecting expectations - to some particular comments that drew laughter and applause. Flavia and Francesca, the genius friends of tennis

A legendary double today in the Sala Filarmonica, packed with fans who welcomed the queens of Italian tennis Flavia Pennetta and Francesca Schiavone. Cristina Fantoni, sports journalist and La7 anchorwoman, led the sparkling exchange of banter between the two, bringing the 'genius friends' to the Trento Sports Festival with naturalness and friendliness, earning more than one applause and a smile from the audience.
Yes, because the ladies of the Grand Slam - the first and second Italians to win the feat - as well as having made tennis history both individually and as a couple, have travelled many stretches of road together, and their friendship, seasoned by the game of opposites and differences, was above all based on harmony, in terms of technique, game tactics and sporting vision.

Filippo Inzaghi: passion, perseverance and dedication to get to the top

The double in the Athens final, the goal scored at the World Cup in Germany, over 300 goals scored in a career where he won everything he could win, but the most important ones for Filippo Inzaghi were the goals in the Champions League preliminaries in 2006 against Red Star. The former AC Milan and national team striker chose the Festival dello Sport to present his latest book entitled 'Il momento giusto' (The Right Moment), a clear reference to his ability to choose the exact moment to evade the opponent's offside trap and present himself alone in front of the goalkeeper.

Saudi Pro League, many champions aiming for World Cup 2034

The new Eldorado of football. This is how, in one of its nice headlines, the Gazzetta defined the Saudi Pro League, also due to the fact that foreign players who play in it do not pay taxes. But the ambitions of the tournament that is revolutionising football go beyond the economic dimension, as was well understood this morning at the Festival dello Sport in a meeting featuring Carlo Nohra, executive head of the Arab league, Roberto Donadoni, who played in Saudi Arabia in 1999, and La7 journalist Cristina Fantoni.
The Saudi Pro League has won the attention of the entire international football movement thanks also to a market that has brought about a hundred foreign players to Arabia, many of whom are still champions of the highest level such as Benzema, Neymar, Kanté, Kese, Brozovic, Milinkovic Savic and Gabri Veiga, who have joined Cristiano Ronaldo. A growing football movement that makes no secret of its great ambitions and which, according to many, has as its goal to host the World Cup in 2034.

Giuntoli, Juventus: 'We will return big but with sustainable football out of respect for those who work'

As a Juventus fan this season, he sits inside the Juventus control room. Cristiano Giuntoli, the club's general manager, broke the ice at the Teatro Sociale by talking about his travels as a boy by coach from Prato, to watch football, the very Old Lady that he, and his family, have always supported: 'My first away trip as a boy to the stadium? A lot of rain caught with my father in Bologna, then I have a vivid memory of Pistoiese Juventus with a goal by Cuccureddu, where you couldn't cheer because you were away. I began to really love the team with Platini whose formation I remember (the play ed.) by heart. In the past there have been names like Del Piero, Baggio, Platini, Zidane'. A passage dedicated to his father: 'I miss sharing football moments with him. He would have been proud of my role, my mother still tells me, "How can you do it now in this delicate role...?" In the family even now, as then, they are all Juventus fans.

Now in its last day of events, the sports festival involved, among many other appointments, the public in Trento's Piazza Duomo to talk about several books focusing on professional athletes in the fields of basketball and cycling. Opening the meetings was former NBA champion Linton Johnson, who presented his book 'Get in the game'. A vademecum to encourage everyone, not just athletes, to draw on their inner strength to overcome daily challenges. The captain of the Italian national basketball team, Gigi Datome, transforms himself into a character from the comic book 'The Giant of the Court' and impersonates the coach of two young boys who dream of playing basketball. Italian Post Office 'cancels' football legends

For the first time in six editions of the Festival of Sport, which is invading Trento with no less than 150 events, there was space for played sport thanks to 'La Grande Partita' (The Big Game) of football in a sold-out Briamasco stadium. Facing each other were the Festival Legends, with no less than seven world champions on the pitch, of which five Italians and two Brazilians, and the national team of Poste Italiane, coached by former Juventus player Angelo Di Livio.
The outcome was decidedly unexpected, with success for the Poste Italiane's Gialloblù (the same colours as the Trento football team) team, which triumphed after a hard-fought match, dominated in the first of the two 30-minute periods, and decided on penalties.
