A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Autonomous Province of Trento and the trade unions in order to finalise the already allocated sum of EUR 7,850,500 for accessory treatment and the revision of the professional regulations, with the commitment also to bring the contractual institutions into line with the new work-life balance requirements, as well as to provide further financial resources during the legislature for the equalisation of the economic-legal treatment of the staff of the health sector with that of the local autonomies.
The Protocol, signed by the councillor for health, social policies and cooperation, takes up the resources currently available to the health sector - area of non-executive personnel, quantified in total at 26,342,500 euros, of which 18,492,000 euros for salary increases to be fully implemented from 2024 and referring to contractual increases for the renewal of the CCPL three-year period 2022-2024 in addition to what has already been recognised in the year 2023 and 7,850,500 euros for the revision of some items of the accessory treatment and for the revision of the professional order. This signing will be followed by directives from the Provincial Council to A.p.r.a.n. to activate the contractual table and implement the contents of the protocol with the allocation of available resources.
Satisfaction was expressed by the councillor for the signing of the document by the CGIL FP, CISL FP, Fenalt, Uil FPL Sanità and Nursing Up; the councillor emphasised that with this protocol the intention is to invest with conviction in the human resources of the health sector, providing interventions for their enhancement, and to continue the path of dialogue and discussion with the trade union representatives with the aim of giving full recognition to the role of health professionals and make the health profession more attractive at a time when the demand for assistance is increasing with the ageing of the population.
