Today, 13 May 2024 - the day after 12 May 1820, the date of the birth of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing - was the symbolic event of the Order of the Nursing Professions of the Province of Trento, i.e. the annual International Nurses' Day, which was attended by more than 200 professionals. The slogan of the event, which took place in the concert hall of the Trento Philharmonic, was 'Let's nourish health - Nursing art the most beautiful of arts': the moment of discussion was organised over several speeches, which aimed to tell citizens, institutions, nurses, students, experiences of good nursing practice, challenges faced and results achieved in a health system that is constantly evolving and requires specialisation and inter-professional integration.
Among the speakers was also the provincial councillor for health, social policies and cooperation, who, referring to nurses, after highlighting how this profession has acquired more and more specialised skills over time, highlighted how they are a crucial figure for the health system because they make an extraordinary contribution to people's health and wellbeing and will be increasingly fundamental over the years.
