It is the family, the real answer to social growth, in the West as everywhere. James Hackerman, Nobel Prize winner for economics in 2010, who presented his research conducted on societies in Denmark and the USA, has no doubts: "Our governments, in order to enable social mobility and the success of the new generations, must invest in families and everything related to them. My research has made it clear how, even in two societies that are so different in terms of welfare, factors such as the choice of neighbourhood to live in and exposure to the family 'good example', rather than education (a central theme in America today), affect outcomes".
