"This is a truly exceptional season for our Trentino film commission. We are here to present an auteur film in Rovereto, also fresh from the Venice Film Festival, on the same day that a new prestigious milestone is announced for Vermiglio, the film signed by Maura Delpero, winner of the Silver Lion and now nominated by Italy for an Oscar in the Best International Film category". These were the words of the Vice-President and Councillor for Culture of the Autonomous Province of Trento, Francesca Gerosa a short while ago at the presentation of the film 'Battlefield' by Gianni Amelio in a special screening at the Supercinema in Rovereto with the participation of the leading actor Gabriel Montesi. A satisfaction also shared by the President of the Autonomous Province of Trento Maurizio Fugatti: "This new milestone for a film that tells the story of our land and our roots with the strength of truth and emotions is a very important contribution that enhances the image and values of our communities".
