The commitment of the Technical Unit of the Trento Civil Protection continues in the Phlegraean Fields area. Following the magnitude 4.4 tremor on 20 May, technicians and operators from the Risk Prevention and Geological Services - coordinated by the director of the Technical Engineering Office, Giovanni Maiello - are working to check the practicability of buildings, alongside colleagues from other Italian territories. Once again, the Autonomous Province of Trento is in charge of coordinating the regions' civil protection activities. The national department is guaranteeing assistance to citizens who have had to leave their homes declared unfit for habitation, while, as mentioned, the activity of checking buildings is underway, along with providing citizens with the correct information and useful indications on emergency procedures.
