In the event of a close encounter with a bear, it is important to avoid any kind of interaction and move away quietly. Remaining in the vicinity to observe it, photograph and film it or - even - follow it, is forbidden and dangerous. This is a reminder from the Fauna Service of the Autonomous Province of Trento, in the light of the dissemination of video content showing a female bear accompanied by three cubs inside a vineyard in the Alto Garda area being approached and annoyed by a person. In case of a sighting - this is the internationally recognised safety rule - it is important to move away slowly. If the bear approaches, you must wait for it to move away spontaneously before continuing on its way. Do not follow it, even if you are in a car.
