Yesterday, a meeting was held at Apran to mark the start of discussions on the contract for the ATA staff sector, teachers in pre-school and vocational training, and teaching assistants.
The director general of the Department of Education and Culture was present, as a member, who gave a positive report on the meeting. The opening of the confrontation was accompanied by the schedule of meetings with the trade unions sent in the same day yesterday by the Education Department. The common will of both parties, while respecting the differences in views or positions that may emerge, is to improve the workers' contract, both from an organisational and an individual perspective. The resources of which Apran gave an account, some EUR 2.7 million, are known, budgeted for both salary increases and accessory treatments.
