Industrial research

The Trentino Research and Innovation System is evolving to meet global challenges, placing at its heart the ability to transform scientific excellence into tangible economic growth. In accordance withProvincial Law No. 6 of 6 July 2023 (Provincial Law on Measures to Support the Economy), the Autonomous Province of Trento reaffirms its commitment to supporting the region’s competitiveness and productivity, including through research and processes of innovation, technological transformation and digitalisation.

Specifically, the scheme provides funding for industrial research and experimental development projects, placing particular emphasis on collaboration with local research organisations and science and technology clusters. Support is extended to projects that have been awarded the European Seal of Excellence and promotes the integration of qualified human capital into businesses, encouraging the recruitment or secondment of researchers and technicians from Trentino’s research institutions. There is also provision for targeted aid aimed at process and organisational innovation to modernise business structures.
