Industrial research

The Trentino research and innovation system is evolving to meet global challenges, focusing on the ability to transform scientific excellence into tangible economic growth. In line with Provincial Law no. 6 of 6 July 2023 (Provincial Law on interventions in favour of the economy), the Autonomous Province of Trento reaffirms its commitment to supporting the territory's competitiveness and productivity also through research and innovation processes, technological and digital transformation.

Specifically, the measure provides funding for industrial research and experimental development projects, particularly rewarding collaboration with research organisations and scientific-technological poles in the area. The support is extended to projects that have obtained the European mark of excellence and encourages the integration of qualified human capital in companies, providing incentives for the hiring or secondment of researchers and technicians from Trentino research organisations. Targeted aid is also provided for process and organisational innovation to modernise company structures.
