Vouchers for school trips abroad in EU countries or the United Kingdom a. s. 2024/2025

Contribution to students to attend school abroad in EU countries to improve language skills and increase understanding of other cultures.

This is a contribution, called an individual voucher, aimed at encouraging attendance of the:

• 3rd year for students attending Trentino four-year high schools

or

• Year IV for students attending other secondary schools

in a European Union country or United Kingdom.

The amount of the voucher depends on the foreign country of destination, the duration (annual or partial) of the school course and the ICEF 2023 family economic condition indicator. The voucher may also be supplemented with an additional lump sum to encourage the participation of people with disabilities in the initiative.

The voucher cannot be combined with scholarships or similar benefits granted for the same purpose by the Province or other public and private entities, including non-profit organisations (e.g. Inps, Fondazione Caritro, Intercultura and Wep).

Where the educational pathway can be carried out

The school course must be carried out at a foreign educational institution based in a European Union country or in the United Kingdom.

The organisation of the school course is the responsibility of the student and his/her family.

What is the duration of the course

The school course may be of annual or partial duration:

• annual duration - the student is required to attend a foreign school for the entire school year for a minimum of 240 days, failing which the voucher may be reduced or revoked;
• partial duration - the student is required to attend a foreign school for a minimum period of 110 days, failing which the voucher may be reduced or withdrawn.

Obligations of the student

The student is obliged to:

• attend the foreign school for the duration indicated in the application (annual or partial).
• produce at the end of the school course a final report/assessment form drawn up by the foreign organisation (according to the established procedures) certifying the period of school attendance and a positive evaluation.

When the voucher is paid

The voucher is paid in two instalments:

• the first as an advance payment is 50% of the total amount (including any additional amount granted by the Administration in the case of disabled students). Please refer to the Notice for details and deadlines;

• the second instalment of the balance, equal to 50% of the total amount, after the conclusion of the scholastic course, subject to verification of the final evaluation/report form completed by the foreign school (including any additional amount granted by the Administration in the case of students with disabilities).

How to fill in the Application for Payment of the BALANCE

LHE APPLICATION FOR SETTLEMENT OF THE BALANCE must be submitted by 30 September 2025.

The application procedure involves:

• filling in and transmitting the application exclusively via ONLINE PROCEDURE (using SPID credentials)

The intervention is co-financed by the European Union - European Social Fund plus - the Italian State and the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Applications must be submitted from 9 a.m. on Tuesday 7 November 2023 until 1 p.m. on Thursday 7 December 2023.

Students with the following characteristics:

1. age not older than 20 years on 7 December 2023;

2. belonging to a household with an ICEF 2023 indicator of less than 0.60 (ICEF resulting from the "Domanda Unica 2024")

3. resident in the province of Trento and attending , in the 2023/2024 school year, class ^2a of Trentino four-year lyceums or class ^3a of secondary education courses in schools in Trento or in other provinces/regions of Italy

or who live in the province of Trento and who, in the 2023/2024 academic year, will attend class ^2a of the four-year lyceum in Trento or class ^3a of secondary education courses in Trentino schools;

4. who have completed the 2023/2024 school year without any educational deficiencies.

To submit the voucher application it is necessary to:

1) process the ICEF 2023 indicator resulting from the "Single Application 2024": the Indicator Statement does not have to be attached to the voucher application, as this indicator will be checked ex officio. The indicator is necessary for the purposes of drawing up the ranking list and determining the allocated quota.

2) submit the application from 9.00 a.m. on Tuesday 7 November 2023 until 1.00 p.m. on Thursday 7 December 2023 by means of an IT procedure using SPID credentials (see relevant Notice).
