Scholarship for education abroad in non-EU countries s. a. s. 2024/2025

The Autonomous Province of Trento has approved incentives for attending school abroad in countries outside the European Union. This is a direct contribution to encourage attendance of the:

• III year for students attending Trentino four-year high schools
• Year IV for students attending other secondary schools in Trento or other Italian provinces/regions in a country outside the European Union (excluding the United Kingdom).

All information concerning the scholarship and payment of the balance is contained in the 2024/2025 Announcement.

When to send the request for balance payment

The Application for Balance Clearance with the relevant attachments must be submitted according to the following timeframe

• for students attending the partial pathway starting in 2025 or the one-year pathway the aforementioned documentation must be submitted by 30 September 2025. Only in the event that the school course ends close to the aforementioned deadline, the above-mentioned documentation may be submitted after this deadline and in any case by the 20th day after the last day of school attended by the student abroad
• for students attending the partial route starting in 2024, the aforementioned documentation must be submitted by 29 March 2025. Only in the event that the educational pathway ends close to the aforementioned deadline, the above-mentioned documentation may be submitted after this deadline and in any case by the 20th day from the last school day attended by the student abroad

N.B. The documentation requested in this paragraph is specific to the grant awarded and, therefore, is in addition to and does not replace any documentation required by the school of origin for the student's return to the next class in the 2025/2026 school year.

The student is required to

• attend the foreign school for the entire duration indicated in the application (annual or partial)
• produce, at the end of the school course, the evaluation form/final report, drawn up by the foreign institution (according to the established procedures) certifying the period of school attendance and a positive evaluation.

The application may be submitted by parents of students attending the third or fourth year of secondary school at a foreign educational institution in a non-EU country and grant recipients.

The application for payment of the BALANCE must be submitted ONLINE.
The service will be active until midnight on Tuesday, 30 September 2025.

• in the event of a change of school abroad, a Final Report must be attached to the aforementioned Application for payment for each school attended
• in the event of failure to complete the course of study abroad, the student must promptly notify the Administration (serv.formazione@pec.provincia.tn.it)

If, in the time between the date of submission of the Application for payment of the grant advance and the date of submission of the Application for payment of the balance, the student becomes of age

1. the student must communicate, in the Application for Settlement form, his/her bank account

   or

2. the student must present a proxy for the payment of the grant to the bank account of another person (e.g. parent), using the form that must be requested from the Administration. The authentication of the signature can be carried out at the peripheral counters of the PAT, at the Professional Training, Tertiary Training and System Functions Service (Via Gilli, 3 38121 Trento 0461.497234 - by appointment) or at the municipalities.

For the purposes of disbursement of the final instalment, the following documents must be submitted

1. the "Application for payment of the balance"
2. the annexes to the application:

• Final Report drawn up on the letterhead of the foreign institute according to a facsimile prepared by the Administration, certifying the period of the student's school attendance abroad and the positive evaluation of the same in relation to the education course undertaken.
  The student must pay particular attention to the correct filling in of the Final Report, which must be signed by the person in charge or by a contact person of the foreign institute at the end of the course, as the recognition of the benefit granted is dependent on this fulfilment;

• Model deductions tax deductions for the relevant year .

The grant is paid in two instalments:

• the first as an advance payment is 50% of the total amount, (including any additional amount granted by the Administration in the case of disabled students). Please consult the Call for Proposals for details and deadlines
• the second instalment as a balance, equal to 50% of the total amount, (including any additional amount granted by the Administration in the case of disabled students), after the conclusion of the school course, subject to verification of the final evaluation/report form (Final report) completed by the foreign school
