Trade fair events: application for subsidies

  • Active

Organisers of trade fairs that are to be held in the Province of Trento may apply for a grant.

Description

The Province, in order to promote the development and quality of the provincial trade fair system, grants contributions to the organisers of trade fair events to be held in the Province of Trento, amounting to 20% of the eligible expenditure for each trade fair event.

These contributions, granted on a 'de minimis' basis, cannot be cumulated with other funding granted for any reason by the Province for the same event.

N.B.: the following text does not replace the regulations set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Council no. 363 of 28 March 2024 below, to which reference should be made for all purposes.

Restrictions

The minimum eligible expenditure limit is EUR 25,000 and the maximum limit is EUR 100,000. The above-mentioned limits must be respected both at the time of the grant and at the time of settlement.

Failure to hold the exhibition shall result in the forfeiture of the grant.

Who it's for

Entities and entities, whether incorporated or associated, with a registered office or an operating office in the Province of Trento, organising trade fair events to be held in the Province of Trento are eligible to apply for a grant.

The trade fair event is eligible for aid if it meets the following requirements

  1. the duration is equal to or longer than two consecutive days
  2. the exhibition stands, with their respective direct exhibitors, exceed twenty units
  3. exhibitors resident or based in the province of Trento reach 25% of the total number of exhibitors;
  4. the organising entities must be established as a company or association and have their registered office or operational headquarters in the province of Trento;
  5. the minimum and maximum limits for eligible expenses must be €25,000 and €100,000 respectively
  6. no funding has been requested and/or obtained from the Province for the same event.

Exhibitors and other retailers may not exceed 50% of all economic operators taking part in the trade fair event, otherwise the initiative is no longer considered a trade fair event. This limit does not apply to trade fair events that take place within trade fair districts, or that have been held for at least 5 editions as at 31 December 2014, regardless of the legal classification applied in the 2014 edition.
