Provisions for surface and animal operations 2026/2027

The Deliberation of the Provincial Council no. 507 of 10 April 2026 lays down the implementing provisions for various Rural Development interventions (CSR - Programme Complement for the Rural Development of the CAP 2023-2027) of the Autonomous Province of Trento for the 2026 and 2027 marketing years.

The aim is to support farmers and breeders who engage in farming practices that are beneficial to the environment, the climate and the preservation of local biodiversity.

The main interventions concerned are:
SRA08 (ACA08): Sustainable management of permanent meadows and pastures, is divided into the following two actions:

• Action 8.1: Sustainable management of permanent grassland.1
• Action 8.3: Sustainable management of permanent grassland, including traditional local practices.1

For new commitments starting from 2026, the commitment period for Action 8.1 and Action 8.3 is at least three years.

SRA14 (ACA14) and SRA15 (ACA15): Breeders and farmers guardians of agrobiodiversity.
SRA29: Payment for organic farming (conversion and maintenance).
SRB01: Support for mountain areas with natural handicaps.

New and Main Incentives for 2026-2027

The resolution introduces enhanced support in two key areas:

Increased premium for livestock biodiversity: The premium for farmers who are committed to preserving indigenous cattle breeds (Rendena, Grigia, Bruna) has been increased from 200 Euro/UBA to 300 Euro/UBA from the 2026 campaign.This is a way to ensure maximum support for those who preserve the local genetic heritage.

Additional premium for organic pastures: An additional premium of 20 Euro per hectare is introduced for farmers who manage and certify pastures using organic production methods.

For new commitments starting in 2026, the minimum commitment period has been reduced for some measures:

SRA08 (Management of meadows and permanent pastures): The minimum duration is at least three years.
SRA29 (Organic Farming): The duration is at least three years for organic maintenance and at least one year for conversion.
SRA14 and SRA15 (Agrobiodiversity Custodians): The duration of the multi-year commitment is reduced to one year.

Recipients are farmers and breeders who apply for support for Rural Development (SRA) and for support in mountain areas (SRB01) and who meet the following general conditions

Possession of a Farm Dossier: They must have a valid and graphically presented farm dossier.

Direct Area Management: They are only eligible for financial support if they directly manage, with a regular tenure title, the areas that are the subject of the application for support.

Livestock Management (where applicable): For interventions that concern livestock (such as SRA14 for agrobiodiversity guardian farmers), they are only eligible for financial supports for the Adult Livestock Units (LUs) that they hold and that are registered in the National Livestock Registry Database (BDN).

Applications must be submitted graphically via the Integrated Agricultural Information System (A4G)

independently or with the support of the Agricultural Assistance Centres (CAA)

Before filling in the application, it is essential that the company complies with the following elements, which are checked through the information system:

Farm File: It is compulsory to have a valid Farm File in graphical mode, which must be validated to ensure data consistency before proceeding with the compilation of the application.

Land Tenure Titles: Beneficiaries must prove that they manage directly, with a regular tenure title, the land for which they apply for financial support. The land must be available for the duration of the commitment (although renewal of titles is permitted during the commitment).

Livestock Registration (for specific interventions): For interventions involving livestock (such as SRA14), the livestock (Adult Livestock Unit - LU) must be registered in the National Database(BDN) of the livestock registry.

The applicant must be the 'keeper' (BDN operator) of these animals.

The deadline for submitting applications for aid and payment is 15 May each year, unless national extensions apply.

Commitments: SRA-ACA interventions are multiannual and the beneficiary is obliged to respect the commitment until its conclusion, even if the provincial financial coverage is currently allocated until the year 2027.
