Description
Bed and Breakfast is a form of tourist hospitality offered on an occasional basis by those who, using only family organisation, use part of the building in which they reside up to a maximum of four rooms, providing accommodation and breakfast service.
Hospitality is also permitted in the building in which one has elected domicile on condition that the holder of the hospitality resides in a municipality in the province of Trento and the activity is carried out for at least 60 days, including non-consecutive days, during the year.
Restrictions
The activity can be carried out in the residence or domicile of the B&B manager, on an occasional basis, using up to 4 rooms, using only the family organisation.
The services to be guaranteed are
- room and breakfast;
- daily cleaning of the premises;
- the supply and periodic change of linen, including towels;
- the supply of electricity, hot water and room heating;
For the serving of breakfast, the regulations permit the offering of manipulated food and beverages (cakes, biscuits, bread and other foodstuffs cooked at home by the manager). In this case, the SCIA will state that they have attended a training programme on hygiene in food handling (h.a.c.c.p.) and obtained the relevant certificate.
In order to guarantee a high level of consumer protection with regard to food safety, whoever offers food and beverages subject to handling in the breakfast service must inform the guest of the possibility of lodging a complaint with the municipality responsible for the area, if they have found, with reference to the breakfast service, the existence of deficient hygienic conditions or situations of health risk linked to the offer of handled food and beverages.
The operator of the activity is bound by the following regulatory obligations:
- Acquiring, indicating and displaying the CIN (see all information)
- Communicate the names of guests to thePublic Safety Authority, within 24 hours, exclusively via the portal weballoggitati.it accessible with the credentials provided by the Trento Police Headquarters.
- Enter tourist presences online (C59-ISTAT forms) in the Provincial Tourism System (STU) for the ISTAT statistical survey.
- Pay theprovincial tourist tax, collected from guests, via the Pagosemplice portal on the established deadlines. All information on the application of the provincial tourist tax can be found on the Trentino Riscossioni S.p.a website in the section dedicated to the tourist tax.
