Description
This is a contribution towards the organisation, at provincial level, of campaigns to promote awareness and participation in sporting activities, with a view to fostering, including through alternative means:
a) gender equality;
b) social cohesion and inclusion, with the aim of preventing situations of marginalisation, exclusion or social hardship;
c) the involvement of people with disabilities.
The promotional campaigns referred to in the previous point may also be carried out outside the province if organised by sports associations and clubs with their registered office in the province of Trento but which are obliged to carry out sporting activities outside the province due to a proven lack or unavailability of suitable sports facilities.
Applications are eligible if they involve expenditure of at least 8,000 euros and relate to initiatives intended to be carried out during the sporting season ending in the year following that in which the application is submitted. Where the implementation of the initiatives spans two calendar years, they shall be considered to relate to the year in which they are completed.
Applications for grants subject to an evaluation procedure must be submitted:
a) in simple form by an individual sports association or club;
b) jointly by a single sports association or club, acting as lead organisation, in partnership with other sports associations or clubs, or other public bodies or private entities, having their registered office in the province of Trento and recognised by CONI or CIP, or registered in the register of voluntary organisations established pursuant to Provincial Law No. 8 of 13 February 1992. In this case, all administrative and financial dealings are conducted with the lead organisation, whilst the partner organisations must declare that they are actively involved in the project.
The following expenses are eligible, provided they relate to the sporting season during which the activity covered by the grant takes place and which ends in the year following that in which the application is submitted:
a) publicity for the initiative;
b) purchase of materials and services to support the initiative;
c) hire of sports equipment, facilities or venues;
d) reimbursements and remuneration for the following sports professionals: coaches, instructors and fitness trainers;
e) reimbursements and remuneration for sports coaches registered with professional bodies;
f) reimbursements to sports volunteers;
g) sports medical examinations for athletes;
h) athletes’ travel expenses, where these are borne directly by the sports association or club.
The grant is awarded at a rate of 50 per cent of eligible expenditure, up to a maximum of 40,000 euros and, in any event, subject to the deficit and available resources.
The grant amount is increased by 5 percentage points if promotional campaigns involve the active participation of Olympic ambassadors in activities aimed at learning, putting into practice and promoting the Olympic values (fair play, participation, friendship, loyalty, solidarity, commitment, respect, courage, self-improvement, peace, equality, internationalism) and/or Paralympic values (courage, determination, inspiration, equality).
Subject to the maximum grant limit of 40,000 euros, the amount of the grant may be increased by 10 per cent for campaigns identified by the Provincial Executive as being of particular significance in terms of encouraging young people to take up sport and initiatives aimed at promoting social cohesion.
The grant is provided for under Article 15(1)(b) of Provincial Law No. 4 of 21 April 2016, ‘Provincial Law on Sport 2016’.
Restrictions
Only initiatives involving expenditure of 8,000 euros or more are eligible for funding.
Each applicant may apply for funding for a maximum of one initiative per year.
Applications scoring less than 18 out of 51 are not eligible for funding.

| Invoices relating to the purchase of goods and services covered by public incentives for productive activities, provided for any reason and in any form by a public authority, including through other public or private entities, or in any way attributable to them, must contain the unique project code (CUP), as set out in the grant agreement or communicated at the time the incentive is awarded or at the time of application for the same. This requirement is introduced by Article 5(6) of Decree-Law No. 13 of 24 February 2023, – converted by Law No. 41 of 21 April 2023 and amended by Law No. 213 of 30 December 2023. If the CUP has not been included in the electronic invoice or has been incorrectly stated by the supplier/service provider and the latter has not reissued it correctly (= a credit note cancelling the invoice and the issue of a new invoice), the recipient/client may add the CUP to the invoice using the web service available on the “Fatture e Corrispettivi” portal, under the “Electronic invoices and other VAT data” section, in the “Communications” box, “CUP Integration” link on the Italian Revenue Agency’s website. Further information on this is available in the relevant Guide:https://www.agenziaentrate.gov.it/portale/documents/d/guest/guida-all-utilizzo-del-servizio-di-integrazione-del-cup-in-fattura. |
