Information, instructions, regulations and forms for applying for a grant with an assessment procedure for the organisation of sports events of provincial, regional, interregional, national or international interest.

Description

This is a grant for the occasional organisation of sporting events of provincial, regional, inter-regional, national or international interest carried out within the province, with planned expenditure of between €5,000 and €100,000.

The events must be approved by or included in the calendars of the competent national sports federations, associated sports disciplines, sports promotion bodies, meritorious associations or military sports groups and State bodies to which the sports club is affiliated.

The following costs, relating both to the preparation and to the execution of the activity for which the grant is awarded, are eligible
(a) publicising the initiative and publishing and disseminating the results;
(b) rental of sports facilities or spaces and their preparation, including outdoors
c) services rendered by referees, competition judges, medical and paramedical staff, qualified technical staff, collaborators, limited to the execution of the event or the setting up of the spaces, provided that they can be unequivocally attributed to the event
d) reimbursements for transport, board and lodging related to the professional performance of the persons indicated in letter c) above;
e) federal fees;
f) hire of equipment, sports instruments and motor vehicles;
g) ambulance, public safety and sports safety services;
h) prizes in the form of material goods, with a maximum limit of €3,000 and the exclusion of cash prizes;
i) refreshments for participants, up to a limit of 20% of the relevant expenditure.

The contribution is granted to the extent of
a) 30% of the admitted expenditure, for the part between €5,000 and €50,000, and in any case within the limits of the deficit and available resources;
b) 20% of the eligible expenditure, for the part exceeding €50,000, and in any case within the limits of the deficit and the available resources.

Without prejudice to the upper limit referred to in the preceding paragraph, the amount of the contribution may be increased by 10% for events identified by the Provincial Council that denote particular value with respect to the categories of athletes and/or particular sporting and/or touristic relevance for the territory or historicity, or particular attention to promoting gender equality and/or social cohesion.

Restrictions

Each applicant must submit one application for each event organised, subject to a limit of 5 applications per year.

All expenses relating to both the preparation and the execution of the activity that is the subject of the grant are eligible.

On the basis of the available resources, established annually by the Provincial Council, all eligible applications are financed. If the available resources are not sufficient to fully fund the admitted applications, the contribution shall be proportionally redetermined among all of them.

Who it's for

Amateur sports associations and clubs that:
(a) are registered in the National Register of Amateur Sports Activities (RAS)
b) are regularly affiliated to national sporting federations (FSN) or associated sporting disciplines (DSA) or sports promotion bodies (EPS) or meritorious associations (AB) or military sports groups and State bodies (GSM) recognised by CONI or CIP
c) they regularly carry out activities during the sporting year in the disciplines regulated by the FSN or DSA recognised by CONI or the CIP
d) have their registered office in the provincial territory;
e) they have their own members
f) have a specific activity in the provincial territory aimed at promoting the sport in the youth sectors as defined and regulated by the relevant FSN or DSA recognised by CONI or CIP.

Promoter committees and associations or societies promoting sporting events that
a) have their registered office in the province of Trento
b) are entered in the national register of amateur sports activities (RAS);
c) are regularly affiliated to FSN, DSA, EPS, AB, GSM recognised by CONI or CIP
d) do not have their own registered athletes or have fewer than 10;
and/or
e) do not have a youth sector;
and/or
f) they carry out their activity in an episodic manner, essentially limited to organised sporting events.

The application must be signed by the legal representative of the sports organisation.

What to do

Grant applications must be submitted between 1 and 30 November each year for sporting events that are intended to take place in the year or sporting season following the submission of the application.

Only for non-programmable events, certified as such by the federation or sporting body to which they belong, applications for contributions must be submitted between 1 January and 30 September of each year for events that are intended to take place after the submission of the application.

2. Financial plan with planned expenditure and income.
3. In the case of applications relating to non-programmable events, certification from the federation or sporting body to which the applicant belongs that the event that is the subject of the application was not already scheduled on the date of the deadline set by the ordinary collection (1-30 November).

The 120-day period for the conclusion of the procedure starts on 1 December, the day after the expiry of the deadline for the submission of ordinary applications.The 90-day period for the conclusion of the procedure starts on the day after the submission of the application for non-programmable events.If additional documentation is requested, the time limit for the procedure remains suspended until it is received.

If the final admitted expenditure is 30% or more less than the expenditure admitted when the grant was awarded, the grant shall be recalculated at the rate of
a) 20% of the admitted expenditure, for the part between €5,000 and €50,000, and in any case within the limits of the deficit;
b) 10% of the eligible expenditure, for the part exceeding €50,000, and in any case within the limits of the deficit.
