Withdrawal of fuels in mobile containers at roadside installations and wholesalers

Description

For companies or entities that need to use fuel for the operation of machinery or equipment or vehicles not circulating on the road, it is permissible to use mobile fuel tanks for quantities exceeding one hundred litres and below the limits provided for by the regulations in force concerning hazardous transport (ADR regulations), using approved transportable tanks

Restrictions

An administrative sanction of the payment of a sum of between 200 and 1,200 euro shall be imposed on anyone who withdraws with mobile containers that are not approved for the transport of fuel.

The withdrawal of fuel with mobile tanks from wholesalers entails the obligation to communicate annually the quantities of fuel dispensed. In the event of failure to report, the person is liable to penalties (for more information on annual reporting, see the relevant sheet under 'Further Information')

Who it's for

Companies and entities that need the fuel to refuel vehicles not on the road can send the communication. Excluded are natural persons

What to do

The interested party shall submit the communication by one of the following means

  • by sending it by email to the PEC address indicated on the form;
  • by delivering it directly to the competent provincial structure, or to any other peripheral office of the Province
  • by sending it by registered mail with advice of receipt;
  • by sending it by fax to 0461/494747.

Please note that, if sent electronically, the forms must always be transmitted in a static PDF format that cannot be modified.

Special cases

In the case of a levy exceeding the limits imposed by ADR regulations, transport may only be carried out by those who have the appropriate certification issued by the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Department

Timeframes and deadlines

There are no deadlines

The notification is effective immediately upon receipt of acknowledgement by the public administration provided that the documentation is always kept on board the vehicle in which the fuel is transported and that it is carried out in compliance with the provisions of Article 168 of the Highway Code.
