Consultation on ultra-broadband coverage across the country

The Autonomous Province of Trento, by Resolution No. 7402 of 8 July 2026, is launching a public consultation to accurately map ultra-fast internet coverage across the region. The aim is to identify areas not yet covered by an adequate service in order to plan future public funding for the roll-out of new high-capacity networks.

Through this process, the Province is gathering detailed information on existing coverage and on private investment planned for the next three years. This step is necessary to define the areas eligible for funding in accordance with state aid regulations.

The consultation is primarily aimed at electronic communications operators who have infrastructure in place or are planning to roll it out.

All interested parties (citizens, businesses, organisations) who wish to submit comments, proposals or contributions relevant to the mapping exercise are also welcome to participate.

To take part, you must send your mapping datasets or any written comments via Certified Email (PEC) to umst.digitalizzazione@pec.provincia.tn.it.

Operators must submit their data using the specific template provided on this page. All other parties may submit comments and proposals in any format (e.g. PDF).

For telecommunications operators:

• a mapping dataset compiled in accordance with the technical specifications;
• documentation attesting to the credibility of the planned investments (e.g. business plans, approved budgets).

For all other interested parties:

• submissions, comments or proposals in any format. 

Any technical queries may be submitted up to 10 days before the deadline.
