Description
Classification is compulsory, precedes and is a prerequisite for exercising the activity.
The classification is the document/provision certifying the name, type and classification level assigned to the open-air accommodation facility (campsite, camping-village). In relation to their requirements, open-air accommodation facilities are classified into five levels marked 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 star.
Classification can be achieved in two different ways:
1) Application for classification to be submitted to the provincial structure responsible for tourism in the following cases
- new establishment
- changes involving a change in classification level (increase or decrease in stars) following a change in parameters and requirements
- change of type (e.g. change from campsite to camping-village)
2) Notification of classification to be presented to the competent provincial structure, in the event that the changes made to the structure do not involve changes to the classification level or type.
Restrictions
The application and/or notification for classification cannot be accepted if the submitted documentation does not meet the minimum structural, functional parameters for the 1-star classification level.
