Description

Waste water discharge authorisations (according to Article 23 of the T.U.L.P. on the protection of the environment from pollution - D.P.G.P. 26 January 1987,no. 1-41/legisl.) are divided into:

  • authorisations of provincial competence;
  • authorisations of municipal competence.

Provincial authorisations include:

2) authorisation for discharge from purification plants, excluding those from civil settlements < 2,000 m3 or 30 people;

3) authorisation for the discharge of waste water assimilated to domestic sewage into surface waters from settlements with a volume ≥ 2,000 cu.m. or accommodation ≥ 30 persons;

the authorisations indicated in points 1), 2) and 3) are subject to the single territorial authorisation (AUT) that can be consulted on the specific service sheet "Request single territorial authorisation (AUT)".

The authorisations under municipal competence (see the dedicated service sheet "Waste water discharge authorisation under municipal competence") include

4) industrial waste water discharges into the black sewerage system;

5) industrial waste water discharges into the white sewerage network;

6) industrial waste water discharges to soil;

7) discharges of waste water assimilated to domestic sewage into surface waters from settlements with a volume < 2,000 cubic metres or with accommodation capacity < 30 people

9) discharges of waste water assimilated to domestic sewage into sealed tanks;

10) discharges from alpine refuges into surface water, soil or sealed ponds (ref. Draft Water Remediation Plan);

the authorisations referred to in points 4), 5), 6), 7), 8) and 10) may be included in the single territorial authorisation (AUT) - in this case consult the service sheet "Request single territorial authorisation (AUT)" , from which it is also possible to download the relative forms - or, if the activity is subject to integrated environmental authorisation, consult the service sheet "Request integrated environmental authorisation (AIA)" .

For the authorisations referred to in points 9 and 11, reference is made directly to the territorially competent Municipality: the forms can be downloaded from the dedicated service sheet "Waste water discharge authorisation under municipal competence".

NOTEPursuant to Provincial Council Resolution No. 6868 of 8 October 1999 , holders of discharges from industrial facilities discharged into the public sewers are required to submit to the managing body, by 31 March of each year, a declaration of the quantity and quality of the water discharged during the previous calendar year, in accordance with the procedures and prescriptions of Provincial Council Resolution No. 3420 of 24 March 1995, point C.
