Permitted activities

Limits and prohibitions

• Continuation of grass mowing in accordance with the Management Plan.
• Crossing of the Nordic ski runs along the eastern boundary (max 25 metres width from the roadside), subject to the opinion of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Slope preparation operations only in the presence of a continuous snowpack and without earth moving.
• Passage of vehicles on the provincial road to Garniga (section inside the Provincial Nature Reserve on the eastern border) and normal road maintenance operations (except for the use of smelling salts), as well as the maintenance of existing networks.
• Access to cultivated land, also with motor vehicles, by the owner/tenant, unless specifically prescribed by the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Forestry on the basis of the Forest Management Plan of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Circulation of motor vehicles for forest use activities, unless specifically prescribed by the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Transit of flocks during transhumance.
• Construction of public infrastructures, subject to the opinion of the Provincial Service responsible for protected areas.
• Activities necessary for the cultural and scientific enjoyment of the Provincial Nature Reserve, its protection, conservation, renaturalisation, bio-ecological and environmental improvement, on the basis of a specific plan and subject to authorisation.

• Modify or alter in any way the elements that make up the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Deposit waste or materials of any kind and carry out excavations, changes of cultivation, land reclamation or land draining.
• Cultivating quarries and peat bogs (with revocation of existing authorisations).
• Activities that may trigger or cause disturbance or modification of ecological values.
• Introducing, removing or damaging flora and fungi (except for scientific and conservation reasons, with prior authorisation).
• Killing, injuring, capturing, disturbing, releasing or taking any animal species, or letting dogs/pets roam (except for specific reasons and authorisation).
• Introduce waste water or water that may alter the characteristics of the Provincial Nature Reserve.
• Erecting constructions or artefacts of any type or material, even temporary.
• Drain water resources.
• Use pesticides and herbicides (except for the protection of public health).
• Clear forest, grassland and uncultivated areas for agricultural purposes.
• Crossing the area with overhead power lines and telephone lines or other overhead/underground pipelines.
• Flying over the Provincial Nature Reserve at low altitude with planes or helicopters.
• Disturbing noises, sounds and lights and circulating with vehicles.
• Camping, lighting fires, letting dogs or other domestic animals roam.
• Entering the protected area outside the marked paths (except for owners, usufructuaries, fosterers or persons carrying out scientific, surveillance and management activities).
• Carry out any type of fencing (except those in accordance with the Management Plan or previously authorised).
• Carrying out recreational/sporting/recreational activities (unless expressly exempted).
• Remove or damage Provincial Nature Reserve signs.
