The pro loco associations constitute, in their relationship with the municipalities' administrations, reference associations for the coordination and planning of activities for the tourist enhancement of the territory, its resources and its products.

  • valorisation of the natural, cultural and historical resources of the locality, also through the realisation of events of a supra-local nature, consistent with the tourism marketing activities carried out by the APT;

  • other activities of a local nature aimed at promoting tourism development.

Pro loco associations meeting the following requirements can apply for registration on the list

Removal from the list of pro loco associations

The director of the provincial service responsible for tourism can order the cancellation from the list of the pro loco association in the following cases

  • loss of the requirements for registration
  • failure to send to the provincial department responsible for tourism, on a yearly basis, the minutes of the meeting concerning the approval of the final statement of accounts, the election of the social offices and the approval of amendments to the articles of association, within the prescribed time limit
  • failure to comply with the provisions of the association's articles of association;
  • failure to report on the activities carried out, subject to provincial contribution, for two consecutive years;
  • failure to submit an application for a provincial contribution, for two consecutive years, for the implementation of the activities referred to in Article 18(1) of the provincial law;
  • request for cancellation by the pro loco association;
  • dissolution of the pro loco association.
