Entry in the list of pro loco associations

Pro loco associations are registered in the special list established by the provincial department responsible for tourism if they carry out the following activities
a) valorisation of the natural, cultural and historical resources of the locality
b) carrying out tourist entertainment activities of a local nature such as initiatives of tourist, recreational, sporting and cultural interest;
c) other activities of a local nature aimed at promoting tourist development.

Pro loco associations use the name "pro loco" in the sign and in all forms of communication.

Pro loco associations meeting the following requirements can apply for registration in the list
a) the statute provides among the social aims of the association the contribution to the valorisation of the territory, of its resources and of its products;
b) the operational scope of the association coincides with the entire territory of a municipality or fraction thereof and no other registered association operates in the same area.

Pro loco associations

In order to be registered on the list, the pro loco association submits an application to the provincial department responsible for tourism.
The pro loco association is required to enclose with the application a copy of its memorandum of association, its statutes and a list of its members. For the purposes of maintaining registration on the lists, the pro loco associations send the minutes of their meetings to the provincial department responsible for tourism within thirty days of the meeting.
