Description
Pro loco associations are registered in the special list established by the provincial tourism service if they carry out the following activities
- valorisation of the natural, cultural and historical resources of the locality, also through the realisation of events of a supra-local character, consistent with the tourism marketing activities carried out by the APT
- implementation of tourist entertainment activities of a local nature such as initiatives of tourist, recreational, sporting and cultural interest;
- other activities of a local nature aimed at promoting tourism development.
Pro loco associations use the name "pro loco" in the sign and in all forms of communication.
Pro loco associations in possession of the following requirements can apply for registration in the list
- constitution by public deed or authenticated or registered private deed
- provision, among the social aims indicated in the articles of association, of contributing to the tourist enhancement of the territory, its resources and its products;
- territorial scope of activity coinciding with the territory of a municipality, district or hamlet thereof or, with a part of the district or hamlet thereof in the cases provided for in Article 6a(2) of Presidential Decree No 8-42 of 22 March 2021
- Provision in the bylaws for:
- modalities for the functioning of the shareholders' meeting;
- modalities for the election and functioning of the board of directors;
- possibility of membership open to all subjects wishing to contribute to the purpose of the association;
- modalities of dissolution of the pro loco;
- territorial scope of activity.
