Description

The 2023 edition of "I Martedì del Parco" intends to discuss sustainability in order to expand the Park's boundaries, embracing universal issues that need everyone's contribution and that will have a decisive impact on the lives of future generations.

The United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, an action programme signed in September 2015 by the governments of the 193 UN member states, is very ambitious, encompassing 17 different Goals, ranging from the fight against poverty to the eradication of hunger, from combating climate change to green and accessible energy, from clean water to the defence of life and biodiversity, from gender equality to health.

These are objectives that we also find in the Provincial Strategy for Sustainable Development adopted by the Autonomous Province of Trento, and in the consequent Pact, signed by all the players in the area, including the Adamello Brenta Nature Park.

The 2023 programme of "Tuesdays" touches on some of these topics, with the help of exceptional speakers. We will talk about wellbeing and conflict, collective goods, food waste and scientific research at high altitudes, and life-sustaining insects and ice stupas. At each station of the walk, with contributions from the public, starting from the Park's valleys, the broader scenarios on which these challenges are projected will also be recalled, in a dialogue between local and global dimensions that is one of the 'strong' reasons for the existence of natural parks and protected areas.

Moderator: Journalist Marco Pontoni
Timetable: 6 p.m.
At the end of the evenings, there will be a convivial moment with local products.
