Description
There are 224 Local Reserves in Trentino and they are identified by way of reconnaissance in the table of ecological and environmental networks of the Provincial Urban Plan in force.
The identification, delimitation, institution and possible revision of Local Reserves are arranged by the municipalities concerned as part of the procedure for the definition and approval of their town planning instruments, which also define the relative protection constraints.
Their management is entrusted to the territorially competent municipality, which may also avail itself of forms of association and collaboration and may adopt a management plan. If the Local Reserves affect the territories of more than one municipality, the municipalities concerned, through specific programme agreements, identify the methods for implementing and harmonising conservation and enhancement measures. In many geographical areas are managed through the Networks of Reserves.
To find out about the local Reserves in the area, go to the PROVINCIAL PROTECTED AREAS ARCHIVE: for each area a dedicated sheet is published.
