Description
The PIN and PUK access codes are personal and allow the CPS to be used only by the actual holder, thus guaranteeing your privacy.
The PIN code, associated with your digital identity and present on the microchip of the new card, allows you to be recognised by the Internet and to use the online services provided by the public administration in a safe and secure manner.
The PUK code is required to unlock the PIN in the event of triple mistyping.
Security is guaranteed by PIN/PUK codes and your digital identity; therefore it is important to always keep your access codes separate from your CPS.
The CIP identification code will be requested from you by the counter operator to revoke your CPS.
You can find directions for managing (changing and unlocking) PIN and PUK codes in the FAQ - Access Codes section.
