Research-action and expert coaching for an increasingly innovative school

In implementing the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021-2027 Programme of the Autonomous Province of Trento, IPRASE has devised two articulated projects aimed at adopting contemporary approaches to teaching, learning and governance of education and training systems in line with the latest innovations in the pedagogical-didactic field, and in order to support schools in responding to the evolving educational demand.

The two Projects, approved by resolution 2157 of 01 December 2023, , operate in close complementarity, the thematic areas of reference are similar, but with different focuses and specifications:

• Project No. 1: aspects of innovation and research;
• Project No. 2: in-service training and promotion of school staff development.

Project No. 1
Research-action and expert coaching for an increasingly innovative school.

Project No. 1, aimed at all the scholastic and training institutions of the Autonomous Province of Trento, has the objective of helping teachers to structure paths for the improvement of their own training activities, through

• Reflection and reworking paths for teachers toimprove their own training activities;
• Didactic innovation, enhancing the innovative processes already in place in schools and promoting other innovative projects;
• Paths of interdependence between school and research: educational and didactic research in dialogue with the school as a place of practice that generates knowledge useful for experience.
• Paths of expert accompaniment with the support of expert accompaniers within educational and training institutions.

Job shadowing activities will be promoted to adapt best practices to one's own context and moments of sharing and dissemination of action-research experiences through reports of significant experiments, presentation of materials and operational tools, guidelines, applied research data.

In order to support the management of the two aforementioned projects, the following determinations were approved:

- Determination no. 7750 dated 19/07/2024 approving the models: 1) Application for membership; 2) Application for membership following membership; 3) Application for membership; 4) Format report ESF+_PRG. 1 RESEARCH; 5) Format report ESF+_PRG. 2 TRAINING; 6) Timesheet ESF+_PRG. 1 RESEARCH; 7) Timesheet ESF+_PRG. 2 TRAINING.
These forms must be used for the applications for membership and enrolment and for the report and timesheet concerning assignments to external experts.

- Determination no. 3133 dated 28/03/2024 approving the following models to be used by IPRASE for the management of the projects: a) "Request for cash requirements"; b) "Certificate of attendance".

The expected result is to increase the levels of effectiveness and quality of performance of school staff, in particular:

• Strengthened cultural focus on in-service digital training;
• Strengthening of multilingual and multicultural training;
• Raising the degree of quality, effectiveness and flexibility of the education system;
• Improvement of inclusive processes and strategies to combat school drop-out;
• Enhancement of interventions for the formation of aware, active, forward-looking future citizens;
• Promotion of educational success and improvement of guidance and assessment actions.

Initiative implemented under the ESF+ 2021-2027 Programme of the Autonomous Province of Trento, with co-financing from the European Union - European Social Fund plus (40%), the Italian State (42%) and the Autonomous Province of Trento (18%).
