General information
The European project Resilience Enhancement of Essential Infrastructures Safety and Telecommunications (acronym RESIST) aims at enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructures for emergency management in the field of safety and telecommunications.
RESIST is supported by a broad international partnership led by the Spanish project coordinator Etra Investigacion y Desarrollo, a partnership in which the Province of Trento participates as a partner to develop advanced monitoring, sensor and data collection systems with the aim of better integrating the use of the Skydweller aerial platform and the European satellite system Copernicus.
The methodologies and techniques developed may later be adopted in our territory as well, with the ultimate goal of developing a more effective approach to forecasting and prevention activities, as well as to emergency response.
Goals
The project aims to improve the resilience of large-scale interconnected critical infrastructures through the combination of Skydweller, a platform equipped with high-performance sensors, and Copernicus satellite imagery and that this solution will support critical infrastructure operators and crisis managers in EU territories before, during and after natural disasters or other emergencies.
