General information
The PLUS-MUSE & SMART project action is in implementation of the programme lines outlined in the Erasmus+ VET Mobility Charter 2016, as well as a continuation of the experience gained in 2017 and in response to the needs of the labour market and professions. The project, thanks to the Erasmus+ funding, identifies as recipients 100 graduates or qualified people, who will be offered the opportunity to participate in a customised learning pathway, of on-the-job training, to be carried out abroad (with a reinforcement in Trentino), in production contexts at the cutting-edge of technology and organisation in Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain and Bulgaria. At the end of the experience abroad, they will be offered the opportunity to participate in a second stage of training in Trentino, aimed at job placement, thanks to the enhancement of the skills acquired abroad. The recipients of the project are young secondary school or vocational training graduates who have been in Trentino for no more than one year and who have acquired basic technical-professional skills in the training school environment which can be used to start a specific professionalisation in the SMART SPECIALISATIONS and therefore, for the province of Trento, in the Agrifood, Quality of Life, Energy-Environment and Mechatronics sectors. The project intends to exploit the irreplaceable role that can be played by learning models in a working context, using as a key element the tool of apprenticeship training, scheduled abroad for 12 weeks and in Trentino for 8 weeks. The foreign company contexts in which the beneficiaries will be placed are already pre-selected with transparent procedures suitable to identify quality contexts, necessary for the effective achievement of the defined quality goals.
The contents and learning objectives of each placement will be shared with the participants and the host companies. Each learning project will be divided into the following 5 phases:
1) PREPARATION FOR THE MOBILITY, to be carried out in Trento. Young people are identified following public promotion with the involvement of the school/training institute of origin. Following the identification of participants, individual profiles and training objectives will be defined. This will be followed by a training period preparatory to the linguistic and pedagogical traineeship, lasting about 2 weeks, with costs exclusively borne by the Province as co-financing.
2) MOBILITY ABROAD WITH RELATIVE PEDAGOGICAL AND CULTURAL PREPARATION The mobility abroad will last 12 weeks, identifying the best company internship solutions. Each company matching will be taken care of with particular attention in order to ensure adequate customisation, depending on the skills gap to be filled and the professional sector of interest to the participant. Young trainees will benefit from an allowance, as provided for by law (to be paid by the Autonomous Province of Trento).
3) POST-MOBILITY FOLLOW UP, to be held in Trento. Upon return to Trentino, a follow-up phase is envisaged, aimed at sharing the different experiences and carrying out the identification, validation and certification of the skills acquired. This phase will be paid for by the Province.
4) POST-MOBILITY TRAINEESHIP TO BE CARRIED OUT IN THE PROVINCE OF TRENTO (OPTIONAL). The possibility of participating in a traineeship in Trentino companies will be envisaged. The duration of this traineeship, aimed at job placement, may not exceed eight weeks as a rule. The young people in the traineeship will receive an allowance, as provided for by law. This last phase is also envisaged to be paid for exclusively by the proposing organisation (Province).
The PLUS-MUSE&SMART project identifies careful tools and methods for accompanying, monitoring and certifying the skills acquired, devices implemented both by the provincial administration and by the foreign partners, which are constantly interconnected. In the management of the action, the use of particularly advanced organisational tools and methods is envisaged, enhancing activities of theoretical study, exercise, simulation, observation and field visits. The project action as a whole is therefore intended to enhance the role of training models linked to alternance (dual models) and both curricular and extracurricular apprenticeship experiences. This is especially true in those production areas known as SMART, i.e. sectors undergoing strong development and with a significant technological impact.
Goals
The general objective of the project is to reinforce the non-formal learning opportunities of young school leavers, through the activation of on-the-job training actions, combining, according to the 'alternance' model, classroom training moments and professional traineeship moments, to be carried out in productive-organisational contexts both abroad and in Trentino. The paths are aimed at achieving the following specific objectives
- favouring the rapid entry of project participants into the
- world of work with quality profiles;
- enhancing their appropriation of new styles and behaviour - in an active and activating professional context;
- to improve participants' technical and transversal skills;
- stimulate their qualification in highly specialised and particularly innovative
- specialised and particularly innovative environments;
- strengthen the participants' curriculum in terms of knowledge of a foreign language applicable in work contexts open to internationalisation;
- strengthen their technical-specific and transversal skills (in terms of adaptability, flexibility, creativity, entrepreneurship, self-innovation, etc.);
- provide certification and a portfolio of skills of European value
