General information
The2026 edition of the project M.E.T.A.: European mobility, traineeships and learning is an initiative promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento and financed by the Erasmus+ programme. It is part of the internationalisation strategy of the Province and represents the fourth activity implemented in the framework of the Erasmus+ VET Mobility Charter 2021-2027.
The project stems from the experience gained in the previous editions and in the VET mobility projects implemented since 2017/2018, and responds to the needs of the labour market and professions in Trentino. The aim is to offer young people opportunities for non-formal learning and personal growth through internships and training abroad in productive and organisational contexts (so-called training on the job).
The recipients of the project are
- newly graduated or qualified young people (fifth year of secondary schools or fourth year of vocational training)
- students in the fourth year of upper secondary schools.
The experience alternates between classroom training and professional internships in European companies and organisations, in a foreign language.
Two types of mobility are envisaged
- 4-weekshort mobility, in summer 2026, for about 80-90 students;
- long mobility of 16 weeks, during 2026, for about 20-25 secondary school and vocational training graduates.
The main destinations will be in Germany, Ireland, Malta, Spain and other European countries.
The management is entrusted to the Autonomous Province of Trento, through the Professional Training Service, with the organisational support of the Ad Personam Multifunctional Structure.
