Innovation and mechanisation in the agricultural sector

Innovation and mechanisation in the agricultural food sector is one of the measures under Component 1 'Sustainable Agriculture and Circular Economy'.

The investment is divided into the following two sub-measures

1. Modernisation of agricultural machinery
   This measure is specifically dedicated to the modernisation of agricultural machinery allowing the introduction of precision farming techniques and is addressed to agro-mechanical enterprises and to micro, small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises for expenses aimed at supporting investment in machinery and equipment for precision farming, replacement of off-road vehicles for agriculture and livestock farming, and support for investment in the innovation of irrigation and water management systems.
2. Crushers
   This measure is specifically dedicated to the modernisation of olive mills because of the importance of the olive oil processing process.

Promoting a more modern agriculture with innovative ways of producing, processing and disseminating materials.

Both investments contribute to the national target of at least 10,000 subsidised enterprises by 2024 and at least 15,000 subsidised enterprises by 2026.

The implementation of the NRP in Trentino fits coherently into the programme framework for sustainable provincial development, according to the policies identified in the provincial Economic and Financial Document and its Update Note.

Modernisation of oil mills

The provincial call for applications was approved on 20 October 2023. Applications were submitted from 30 October 2023 to 20 December 2023. The ranking list and admission to funding was approved on 14 May 2024 and the grant was awarded on 12 July 2024.

Modernisation of agricultural machinery

The provincial call for applications was approved in December 2023. The submission of applications took place in the windows from 02 January 2024 to 15 March 2024 and from 20 to 31 May 2024. The ranking list and admission to funding was approved on 30 September 2024.
