Technologies, Competences and Social Innovation for Work Integration Social Enterprises

Technologies, Competences and Social Innovation for Work Integration Social Enterprises.

General information

The INNO-WISEs project intends to offer social work enterprises (WISEs) an innovative pathway to acquire skills that will enable them to bridge the technological gap and managerial difficulties that currently characterise them compared to other realities.
Through the collaboration of partners from the worlds of research and technology, public authorities and social co-operative networks, the project envisages the creation of a digital platform for sharing IT and management tools, together with an entrepreneurial training programme that is essential to consolidate their presence on the market.

The main project actions are as follows

- in-depth analysis of the social enterprise sector in the various project partner countries, which includes the identification of managerial models and working practices, of products and services offered, of needs taken care of, of the social enterprise market and the new markets they could access, of particular technological deficiencies;

- definition of a managerial and technological skills model that supports innovation and enables social enterprises to work more efficiently and effectively;

- creation and activation of a modular and flexible information and communication technology platform offering tools such as: economic and social added value assessment tools, applications such as office automation/mail, new product design, e commerce platform for business and tourism purposes, call centre management tools, eLearning and document management;

- training actions aimed at providing managers and employees of social enterprises with the necessary skills to use the new technologies introduced in their enterprises;

- targeted communication actions aimed at encouraging the achievement of project objectives and disseminating results in order to transfer and use what has been acquired beyond the project duration and project partners (organisation of events, production of scientific publications, contacts via social media with the aim of intercepting local and national authorities, educational and research institutions, etc.).

Goals

During its three years, INNO-WISEs achieved the results it set out to achieve and proved to be a highly innovative project for the social economy sector; in fact, it brought WISEs closer to a new management approach and digital transformation, enabling them to use technologies and skills that were out of their reach and that will be a turning point for their development as competitive enterprises in the market. Two important results were achieved by the project

- a comprehensive in-person and online training developed locally in the individual partner countries (12 trainings) and a transnational masterclass. In total, the project trained 251 people and realised the MOOC "Business for WISEs" hosted on the POK-Polimi platform and accessible from the project platform;

- the
