Description
A site with considerable environmental variability and of great floristic and vegetational interest, given the degradation that wetlands in thermophilous areas have generally undergone.
The rich aquatic vegetation (hydrophytes), the flora of the banks and the presence of arid meadows rich in orchidaceae are particularly appreciable.
The site is also of importance for the nesting, stopping and/or wintering of protected or strongly declining bird species and/or those with a localised distribution in the Alps.
Priority Habitat 6210 (wonderful orchid blooms) with 8.26% coverage of the Site.
