Description
The reserve takes its name from the nearby mill, one of the few surviving water mills in Trentino.
From 1858 until the early eighties of the last century, it carried out an intense artisanal activity of grinding cereals, from wheat to corn and rye. In the early 20th century, the miller installed a dynamo on the mill, which turned it into the first building with lighting in the area.
Now the old mill has become a museum, managed by theEcomuseo dell'Argentario, and is an important testimony to traditional agricultural activity in Trentino and in particular, thanks to an exhibition of tools and machinery, it illustrates and recovers the most peculiar aspects of the miller's life.
