Description
A peaty environment of great interest, in a good state of conservation, due to its location in a narrow valley bordered by overhanging rock faces, and to the presence of wet meadows typical of calcareous substrates.
It is a vitally important biotope for the reproduction of many species of amphibians and reptiles.
The site is also of great importance for the nesting, stopping and/or wintering of bird species that are protected or in strong decline, and/or have a localised distribution in the Alps.
