Description
An area of high naturalness that represents the western boundary of many eastern gravitational species.
A significant group of endemic species is present.
The site is of significant national and/or provincial interest for the presence and reproduction of endangered animal species, important glacial relicts, exclusive and/or typical of the Alps.
Presence of invertebrates linked to mature and intact broadleaf forests, with some important floristic species. In the montane-mesophilous woods, yew and holly are widespread.
In the westernmost part, extensive pasture areas are still regularly managed with cattle grazing.
