Description
The interest is due to the pond, with its rim of heliophytic vegetation and the vegetation of swimming hydrophytes. It is a vitally important biotope for the reproduction of many species of amphibians and reptiles. Presence of Annex II invertebrates indicating good naturalness of the running waters.
Habitats of special interest not included in Annex I of Directive 92/43/EEC are present, in particular: Phragmition (reed beds) (10%).
